Orange Sunday

The Orange Sunday show was created by me and my wife Dana in 2006. It started as a jam session that transformed over the years into a show with spontaneous guests. In the early years, we used an existing room at our old company building in a rented former warehouse space in the West of Cologne Germany. We could host 90 guests in the small room that had a balcony level where one could see the band from up above.

As the word of mouth spread, the show got popular quickly and after a short time, we regularly had a packed house.

In 2017, after more than 10 successful years, we moved to Klub der Töne with great lighting and exactly the atmosphere I had envisioned for our show.

Jazz Show at my Personal, Informal Club

On selected Sundays, the non-profit Orange Sunday show takes place at the Klub der Töne. For each show, I combine a new, high quality house band. The main room includes an open floor where you can sit up close to the band, and a small balcony level where you can relax in cozy couches while taking in the scene below.

Sit back, get a glass of wine and listen so some high quality jazz in the exciting atmosphere of the old industrial building.

Orange Sunday: The Movie

A 20-minute documentary by Munir Werner about the Orange Sunday. Munir Werner and Marius Hoppe created an interesting, fun movie telling the story of the popular jazz show.

Partly shot in New York, with stunnig images from the city that inspired Oliver Doering for creating his own jazz club.
